Fabriq (previously called Kerastraight) allows us to offer a high-quality smoothing service to all of our clients. It works from the inside out delivering strength and repair to each hair. The product is suitable and beneficial for everyone, it adds weight to your hair leaving your hair healthier, stronger and softer. Each treatment is personalised for each individual client and our stylists know all the tips and tricks to ensure you get the best results from your treatment.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Fabriq contains proteins which along with the hairs natural keratin restructures and strengthens your hair, repairing, combating frizz and the effects of humidity. The proteins are heat activated and build as they dry within your hair.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Our prices range from £190 to £250 and are based on the length and thickness of your hair. Longer thicker hair will take more time and require more product than shorter fine hair, so this is reflected in our pricing. Your stylist will be able to provide you with a quote at your consultation, prior to booking your hair smoothing appointment. Our Fabriq Ultimate Treatment price includes an optional cut if required and the homecare shampoo, conditioner & treatment mask that you will need to look after your hair correctly.
HOW LONG DOES THE TREATMENT TAKE TO DO?
Again, the time the service takes to carry out will depend on the length and thickness of your hair. As a guide you will need to allow to be in the salon for between 3-4 hours. Your stylist will be able to give you a more definite idea at your consultation.
HOW LONG WILL THE RESULTS LAST?
The new enhanced structure is sealed into your hair for up to 4 months. The treatment is based on hairs natural proteins and will gradually fade from your hair. It is vital that you use the correct homecare products which is why we include it in with your treatment. The products we give you are specially formulated to help keep the treatment sealed in your hair for maximum performance and longevity. Using incorrect homecare products can strip out the new proteins that Fabriq adds, this would result in the treatment not lasting. The products we give you should last you until your next Fabriq Ultimate Treatment. If, however you should run out, replacement products are available to purchase from our reception.
DO I NEED TO HAVE A SKIN TEST?
No. A skin test isn’t necessary for this treatment. One of the products we use does contain nut oils. Please make us aware at your consultation if you have a nut allergy.
MY HAIR IS NATURALLY CURLY; WILL FABRIQ STRAIGHTEN MY HAIR?
No. Your curls will be smoothed and tamed without completely changing your hairs natural texture & movement. We have tested this treatment on team members with naturally curly hair and they have loved the results. You can read Becky’s review below for more information.
I HAVE MY HAIR COLOURED; CAN I HAVE A FABRIQ SMOOTHING TREATMENT?
Yes. Fabriq leaves your hair glossy and will show your colour off to its best.
Fabriq is suitable for highlighted, bleached, coloured and non-chemically treated hair. It can also be used over henna.
When the service is carried out it can cause a small amount of colour fading. For this reason, we recommend that our clients book their smoothing treatment when their colour is due. Colour can be applied from 48 hours after your smoothing treatment. Your hair must have had its first shampoo after Fabriq before your colour is applied.
I HAVE MY HAIR PERMED; CAN I HAVE A FABRIQ SMOOTHING TREATMENT?
Yes. Fabriq will strengthen, repair and smooth all hair including previously permed hair. You will need to leave 30 days after a Fabriq smoothing treatment before applying a perm.
MY HAIR IS CHEMICALLY STRAIGHTENED; CAN I HAVE A FABRIQ SMOOTHING TREATMENT?
Yes. Fabriq will strengthen and repair all hair, which can be ideal after a chemical straightening service. Leave 30 days after your Fabriq treatment before applying a chemical straightening service.
WILL FABRIQ WORK ON AFRO-CARIBBEAN HAIR?
Yes. Fabriq Ultimate Treatment works brilliantly on very curly hair, including Afro-Caribbean. The tightest curls will be softened and relaxed as opposed to completely straightened.
WHEN CAN I SHAMPOO MY HAIR AFTER MY FABRIQ SMOOTHING TREATMENT?
You can shampoo your hair anytime from 30 minutes after the service is complete. You probably won’t want to do that having spent all that time in the salon!
It is important to rinse for 3-5 minutes before the first shampoo. This long rinse removes any excess protein. From the first shampoo you must use the shampoo & conditioner that we have provided you with.
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I CAN DO TO MAINTAIN THE RESULTS OF MY TREATMENT?
Yes. We offer an Intense Boost Treatment. This prolongs the benefit of your Fabriq Smoothing Treatment and is also an ideal introduction to the treatment. The Intense Boost Treatment can be applied immediately after your colour so is an ideal treatment to have after each colour service between your Fabriq treatments.

I had grown my hair from my usual pixie crop during the lockdowns! I have very fine hair, everyone in my family does. I’d grown it into a bob but to be honest I hated it! I was on the verge of giving up and having it chopped off. I would spend time blow-drying it every morning only for it to get fluffier & fluffier as the day went on. I permanently had a halo of unruly fuzz around my head. I was having to wash my hair every morning which was causing my colour to fade very quickly. One walk with my dogs would cause me to return looking like I’d been dragged through a hedge! Not a good look for a hair salon owner and to be honest I don’t have the time in my day for all the faffing about that was involved!
The hair team had done their Fabriq (previously known as Kerastraight) training at the end of July 2021 due to a client asking us for it. So, we thought we would try it on my hair. What a difference it has made! It’s like having a totally different head of hair! It has made my hair so much quicker and easier to style. No straighteners required! It stays smooth – even after walking my dogs! I don’t need to wash it everyday so my colour is lasting longer too. My hair now has weight to it, it swings at the ends! It’s glossy and feels in great condition.
At the time of writing this it has been over 3 months since Lucy did my Fabriq treatment I can honestly say there’s no going back now. I will always have a Fabriq treatment on my hair going forward.

I have wavy hair that has a tendency to frizz and that is at times quite unmanageable, so I was very keen to try the Fabriq treatment. I am extremely impressed!
Fabriq has made my hair feel soft, smooth, frizz free and my hair now has the most amazing shine. My hair is so much more manageable since having the treatment and it takes me much less time to style.
I also love the shampoo and conditioner, it gives a lightweight feel to my hair and leaves it feeling super soft and shiny.

Before the Fabriq Treatment my hair texture was very coarse and thick. It never appeared smooth and always needed taming, only previously achieved by thinning scissors and major straightening.
Fabriq has not only changed the texture to what feels like real hair, but has calmed the frizz and the “bouffant” appearance that drove me crazy! Humidity does not affect it as badly, leaving me less frizzy days. My drying & styling time has more than halved!
Not straightening my hair before was unheard of, now I only need to tweak my style with them as a finishing touch. With small children to run round after it means my hair always look good with minimum effort.
