As we age, our skin naturally loses collagen and elasticity, leading to fine lines, wrinkles and uneven texture.
Microneedling also known as Collagen Induction Therapy or Skin Needling, is a safe, minimally invasive treatment designed to rejuvenate skin from within. Giving you a radiant, youthful glow without surgery or down time.
A microneedling treatment uses tiny, medical grade, sterile needles to create controlled micro-injuries on the skins surface. This process stimulates your body's natural healing response, encouraging the production of collagen and elastin, which are the building blocks of youthful skin.

Microneedling including Celluma Red LED Light Therapy | £99.00 |
Includes: Cleanse, Exfoliation, Microneedling, 30 minutes Red LED Light Therapy, & Hand Massage.
Treatment time: 75 minutes
Your treatment will begin with a thorough skin consultation to ensure microneedling is the right choice for you.
The treatment takes around 75 minutes in total. Most clients describe the sensation as mild and very tolerable. While some redness and mild sensitivity may occur post-treatment (similar to light sunburn), downtime is minimal. You'll begin to notice visible improvements in the days and weeks following your session, with optimal results developing over time as your skin naturally regenerates.
The ideal frequency of microneedling treatments depends on your skins condition, goals and how it responds to the procedure. For most clients, we recommend a series of 4-6 treatments, spaced about 4 weeks apart to allow your skin time to heal and regenerate between sessions.
Microneedling is best done during the cooler winter months. This is because after microneedling, your skin is more sensitive to environmental factors, particularly UV exposure from the sun, which can lead to irritation, dryness and hyperpigmentation during the healing process.
Caroline, our skin technician will guide you through the best schedule based on your skin type and lifestyle, ensuring you achieve optimal results in the safest and most effective way possible.
Red LED (light emitting diode) therapy uses specific wavelengths of light that penetrate the skin at a cellular level, stimulating healing, reducing inflammation, and promoting collagen production. It's completely non-invasive, pain-free and highly effective when used in combination with microneedling.
Adding red LED light therapy after your microneedling session isn't just a luxury. It's a smart way to enhance your results and speed up recovery. Benefits are;
Accelerates Healing - red light helps your skin recover faster by increasing circulation and encouraging cellular regeneration. So you experience less redness, less downtime and quicker results.
Boosts Collagen & Elastin - when used after microneedling, red light further stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, thus amplifying the skin firming, anti-ageing benefits of your treatment.
Calms Inflammation - Microneedling creates controlled micro-injuries in the skin. Red LED light has a soothing effect, reducing inflammation and discomfort, making your post-treatment experience more comfortable.
Enhances Overall Results - By supporting the skin's repair process and minimising recovery time, red light therapy helps you achieve more radiant, even tones and youthful looking skin faster.
At John & Associates we include red LED therapy as part of your microneedling treatment. It's a small step with big benefits for your skin.
Microneedling works by stimulating your skin's natural repair process. Proper aftercare is essential to help it heal, recover and reveal the radiant results you are looking for.
Right after your session, your skin may look pink or red, similar to mild sunburn. It may feel slightly tight, warm, or sensitive for the first 24-48 hours. These are normal signs that your skin is responding and beginning to regenerate.
Caroline will give you written aftercare advice at the end of your treatment.
While microneedling is a safe and effective treatment for many skin concerns, it's not suitable for everyone. For your safety and to ensure the best possible results, its important to understand the conditions that may prevent or delay treatment. Microneedling is not recommended if you have:
During your consultation Caroline will review your medical history, current skin condition and goals to determine if microneedling is right for you, or if another treatment would be safer and more effective.
